Fun at Orinda Farmers' Market
Wow! We had a very successful debut at the Orinda Farmers' Market! Thank you to our friends who came by (Kelly, Jimmy, John) and a special thanks to our FIVE girl cousins (Serena, Leigh, Yasmin, Shada, Leila) who travelled all the way from Marin! We LOVE you chicks! Again, we want to thank Mom & Dad for helping us run the booth!
Upon arrival we met George, who operates the Kettle Corn booth. He's our next door neighbor there. A batch of his kettle corn only takes less than 3 minutes to cook! People buy his kettle corn at 8'o clock in the morning! (We ate a large bag of it while playing mah jong with the folks last night! Yum!)
Everyone here at the Orinda FM were especially friendly to us! Both the management & the vendors were refreshingly positive and supportive! It felt like we were part of the family! The scenery is a backdrop of lush greenery and rolling mountains. Lots of road bikers taking a pit stop for some yummy flatbread!
Next time you're in the neighborhood, order a flatbread to share, then get a Salvadorian tamale, pupusa or kettle corn while you wait, split a crepe for dessert, shop for some vegetable & fruits, then take one of our strawberry shortcakes home with you! Doesn't that sound like a great plan?! Kinda like a mini "street food fest" without the heavy street crowds and smelly streets! See you soon!
