Who are the Chicks?

Two native SF Bay Area professional women:  One Chef and one Designer. The Chef, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has an extensive twenty-five year background in the hospitality industry.  She was on the opening team for the restaurant, Postrio SF, with Chef Wolfgang Puck.  The Designer has worked in the retail health food industry for the past ten years and is an active member of one of the largest and oldest worker owned cooperatives, Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco.  They grow their own organic fruits & vegetables and raise chickens for eggs and fertilizer.  They vermicompost as well as hot compost. 

 The foundation for Chicks and Love© stems from their passion for delicious “clean food”, “green living”, and their gift of being able to share and inspire others.  Their inspiration came from their weekend morning ritual of attending Bay Area farmers’ markets where they craved “food fit for foodies.” 

They’ve entertained their friends and family for years, so it made sense that they “spread the LOVE” and share their food & fun energy with the communities of the farmers’ markets! The vibe of Chicks and Love© is the perfect fit for the SF Bay Area's Farmers' Market venues.
